Dev Kishan

Dev Kishan founded Dieline Interiors on something he learned long before he ran a studio: nothing is built well until the line is true. He comes from the Suthars, a community of carpenters and builders. Their name comes from sutradhar, “the one who holds the thread,” the craftsman whose chalk line decides every cut.

He learned the trade at the workbench, then as a site supervisor and project manager, before starting to deliver projects independently in 2009. That path shapes how he works today. He reads a space the way a craftsman reads timber: its proportions, its materials, and how the people living in it will actually use it. Clients come to Dieline for design that looks refined and is built honestly, down to joints no one else will ever see.

Under his direction, Dieline has delivered more than 600 residential, retail, hospitality and corporate spaces across South India, all held to the same standard. He still walks every site the way he was taught: checking the line, the joint and the finish. He believes a good interior should be built to be inherited.

If it turns out he is the second person and not the one who started as a carpenter, tell me his actual background and role, and I’ll rewrite this page so the two biographies complement each other instead of repeating the same story.
